The laundry aid device’s design and material withstands the rough tumble of the dryer at sustained high temperatures. The primary function of the laundry aid is to keep articles separated, through its design, by creating a pattern-breaking “chaos” which maximizes the dryer cabin’s heat by allowing the heat to travel through the unentangled and un-balled up load. The pattern breaking result of the product’s design is the reduction in dry time and delivers the load fully dry on the first try without the consumer having to manually interrupt the drying cycle to untangle the balled-up articles that stay damp. The laundry aid device is also beneficial in the wash, keeping articles of clothing separated from one another in the new dome style washers (non-agitating washers) and in front loading washers for efficient wash, rinse and spin efforts. The laundry aid device also works in traditional upright washers to keep articles from wrapping and entangling around the center agitator which causes damage to clothing.
Energy Savings: Tested minimum time and energy saved: 16% with a maximum saved at 79%.
12 of the 17 tests resulted in savings over 40% in time and energy used and the average energy saved was 51%.
17 loads tested in a variety of models of dryers, different heat settings, different load weight and different types of articles loaded in testing offered the above measurements. Testing performed and documented in 2018.
Money Savings per load: Minimum load cash savings was $0.3 cents and a maximum cash savings was measured at $.30 cents.
Kilowatt savings is based on the US 2017 national average of $.127 cents price per kilowatt based on electric dryers’ average use of 3,000 watts.
Consumer Time Savings: Dry times rapidly accelerated with the use of the Laundry Lance, laundry aid device. For the 17 loads documented in 2018 testing, the average time savings was 49 minutes saved.
Consumer Frustration: The consumer will not have to manually interrupt the dry cycle to untangle and rearrange laundry for full drying of load. The consumer will no longer experience the frustration of opening the dryer to damp balled up laundry after the dryer cycle signals a false dry measurement due to exterior of balled up laundry registering as dry.
Eco-Friendly product and packaging allows the consumer to purchase with confidence that they are part of the solution and not part of the problem as growing concerns across the globe are trending away from unsustainable, unrecyclable, toxic, chemically enhanced and wasteful products.
